A man from Lake Worth is facing charges after threatening a pregnant woman with a tortilla press, deputies say.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office responded to a possible domestic dispute Saturday night on South E Street.

One of the victims told deputies her neighbor, Romeo Sales Lopez, was helping her bring groceries into her sister's home when Sales Lopez began demanding money from her sister. According to the arrest report, he cursed at the sister, called her a "dog," and threatened to kill her. The sister, who is pregnant, also told deputies Sales Lopez shoved her and threatened her with a tortilla press.

The other woman intervened and pulled Sales Lopez outside, according to the sheriff's office. She told deputies once outside, Sales Lopez grabbed her by the hair and began shaking her head.

Deputies arrested Sales Lopez, who uttered one of the victim's borrowed money from him.

Sales Lopez is charged with battery and aggravated assault.
